Need camera access or crashes?!

I downloaded this to give it a go and it asked for camera access. I clicked without even thinking and explored the app. Seems kinda nice but it has no need to use my camera. I scroll through the settings and turn off camera access for this app now it wont let me use it. So you handicap an app that doesnt need to use my camera and force users to give you access? Sounds sketchy.
